Assistant Manager, Group Sales

The Role
  • Support the Company’s efforts in maintaining current business and securing new business 
  • Support General Manager/Strategy Account Manager to deliver overall volume, rate and revenue targets for new business across all business units
  • Deliver throughput and revenue growth targets which build and secure the viability of our ports
  • Drive the development and execution of strategic and tactical account plans
  • Provide global support for sales and marketing activities for all accounts, end users and alliances
  • Secure new business contracts and contracts renewal for customers
  • Build strong relationship with customers and support customer events
  • Promote the Company’s brands through different marketing and promotional activities
  • Liaise with Business Units to provide customers with unique and differentiated experience
  • Drive business plan and functional projects
  • Resolve daily sales issues, that may involve multiple parties, through co-ordination of skills and resources from across company
  • Support extensive travel and entertainment required in Hong Kong, China and overseas
  • Supporting ad hoc projects as assigned
The Person
  • Degree holder in Business Administration, Logistics or Marketing or related disciplines with minimum 5 years relevant working experience in port or shipping line industry
  • Experience in full transport and logistics value chain will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other sales support tools, e.g. CRM
  • Good strategic thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

Data Processing Assistant

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Handle relative Vessel Inbound and Transshipment container declarations
  • Co-ordinate with internal and external parties on data requirements or clarification
  • Solve problem regarding declarations issues as arisen in operations
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Diploma holder, or Form 5 or above with 2 years clerical experience
  • Experience gained in terminal operations or shipping industry is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good interpersonal skills and sense of responsibility
  • Willing to perform jobs on shift basis

Driver

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Provide local and cross-border transportation service for managers and guests as per work order
  • Provide regular check on the functionality of the company car and assist sending/picking up car for repair or inspection
  • Assist PRC license administration
  • Maintain daily cleanliness and tidiness of company car
  • Maintain sufficient supplies in car like tissue, drinking water, disinfectant materials etc.
  • Compile daily job records
  • Handle other tasks assigned by supervisor
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Form 5 or above
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience as a company driver
  • Experience of being corporate management car driver is preferred
  • Possess valid Hong Kong and China driving licenses with consistently good driving record (required to present the relevant record)
  • Willing to work overtime and/or Sat, Sun and Public Holiday
  • Good command of spoken English and Cantonese, Putonghua is preferred
  • Reliable, punctual, honest, polite, team player and with strong sense of responsibility

Department Coordinator

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, the job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Provide secretarial support to Department Head
  • Coordinate meetings and prepare meeting materials, includes handling confidential documents
  • Maintain a clear CAD filing system (both hard and soft copy)
  • Support Department Head in preparing yearly budget and budget control
  • Handle sponsorship/donation administration
  • Assist in event management and terminal visits logistic arrangement
  • Manage photo library, award record, souvenir record of the Group and ensure the media list is up-to-date
  • Coordinate corporate participation in awards/trade association events
  • Provide admin support for CSR activities and coordinate volunteering activities
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Form 7 or DSE graduate or above
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in secretarial/administrative role
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on knowledge of PC applications such as MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop and website administration, etc
  • Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently while being a team player

Equipment Operator (Chinese Version only)

Gatehouse Assistant

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Assist in gate operations including container weighing and inspection
  • Monitor gate movement
  • Handle shipping/car carrier documents and container appointment
  • Handle dutiable / detained / damaged / rejected container
  • Provide counter service for trucker
  • Process data in a timely, accurate manner
  • Handle hotline enquiry
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Diploma holder, or Form 5 or above with 2 years clerical experience
  • Knowledge and experience in handling shipping document and terminal operations is an advantage
  • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
  • Good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good team player and customer oriented
  • Willing to perform jobs on shift basis

Health & Safety Officer

The Role
  • Monitor the implementation of the company’s health and safety management system and ensure the compliance
  • Review and update the health and safety procedures and documents
  • Co-ordinate and work with departments and contractors to drive and improve the safety performance
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, trainings and analysis
  • Act as the secretary of Departmental Health and Safety Committee and provide support / advices to the departments
  • Prepare reports and perform accident analysis and technical studies
  • Organize health and safety promotion programs and activities
  • Handle emergency situations and provide support
  • Handle projects and deal with departments, contractors and authorities
The Person
  • Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Hygiene or related engineering disciplines
  • Registered Safety Officer
  • At least 1 year post registered (RSO) relevant working experience
  • Valid vehicle driving license
  • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application
  • Proficient in written and spoken English & Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with good analytical skill
  • Applicants who do not possess a valid RSO certificate but are interested in pursuing a career in the health and safety field will be considered as Assistant Health & Safety Officer. Relevant internal and external training opportunities will be provided.

Reception and Administrative Assistant

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Perform duties at the designated reception counter and manage all front desk activities
  • Greet and welcome guests/visitors upon arrival and inform relevant persons for guests/visitors’ arrival
  •  Answer enquiries, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls to relevant parties
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Coordinate for outgoing courier packets and handle all incoming mails, parcels and other items addressed to the company
  • Record incoming registered mail and courier packets addressed to the company
  • Inform relevant persons to acknowledge receipt of personal courier packets
  • Uniform laundry administration including verification of bills and payment handling
  • Handle full spectrum of stationeries and office supplies procurement including preparation of monthly consumption report to all requisition departments and monitor the inventory level of printing items and rechargeable batteries
  •  Assist to prepare contract strategy for non-CAPEX items such as uniform laundry services, office and PC stationeries & etc
  • Handle bookings for Sports Centre facilities and prepare monthly record for facilities usage
  • Carry out routine check on building facilities such as lighting and air-con system & etc on G/F Admin Bldg
  • Prepare copier meter reading summary and report to copier companies on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate Department activities
  • Perform as service back-up for WPS hotline and handle ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisor
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • F.5 or DSE graduate or above
  • At least 2 years reception or clerical experience
  • With experience in facilities management and SAP system knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Chinese Word Processing
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Security Supervisor

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Monitor and control day to day security operations delivering by contracted teams
  • Monitor security contractor performance by selecting and training on-site team member
  • Respond and investigate security incidents and emergencies
  • Assist in ensuring strict compliance of terminal safety rules
  • Conduct initial investigation and coordination with Health & Safety Team and other technical units regarding safety incidents as to avoid reoccurrence
  • Conduct various kinds of Security Drill and Exercise e.g Fire, Chemical Spillage, Hostage etc.
  • Ensure proper execution of terminal’s Port Facility Security Plan
  • Assist in security training, awareness, and education programs
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal (functions and departments etc.) and external interested parties (authorities and customers etc.)
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Diploma in security management or related discipline
  • 5 years' experience in security practices and operations with 1-year in supervisory level
  • Familiar with container terminal operations is preferrable
  • Good knowledge of ISPS Code is an advantage
  • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application (Word and Excel)
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid driving license (Classification codes: 1 & 2) with good driving record
  • Willing to perform shift duty

Senior Analyst – IT Governance & Controls

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Assist the Chief Innovation Officer to ensure proper IT governance processes are in place, by defining the governance & control frameworks and monitoring the adherence to policies & procedures
  • Work with respective subject owners to develop, examine, and evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls by creating and managing policies, procedures, and processes that ensure compliance with internal and external rules & regulations
  • Identify and assess potential risks to IT operations and work with subject owners to develop mitigating strategies
  • Manage both internal & external IT audits and compliance requirements
  • Review and ensure IT services provided by internal and external IT functions are aligned with service level agreements
  • Liaise with various IT functions, departments and outsourcing partners to ensure agreed IT controls are monitored, implemented, timely updated and documented
  • Keep up to date with industry trends around IT governance & controls
  • Lead and assist sizeable IT projects if required
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Degree or above in Information Technology or related disciplines with more than 7 years relevant experience
  • Diploma or above in Information Technology or related disciplines with more than 10 years relevant experience
  • Good experience on project management (e.g. PMP, Prince2/Prince2-Agile, ACP, Scrum)
  • IT service management qualification will be an advantage (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, CSMP, ServiceNow Certification)
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity is preferable (e.g. CISSP, CISM)
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good leadership, presentation, and project management skills
  • Well-organized, independent and able to work under pressure

Technician I (Chinese Version only)

The Role

Yard Planner

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Manage yard allocations, monitoring operation process and yard utilization levels
  • Dynamic update yard allocation for keeping operation smooth
  • Create housekeeping and internal moves as required
  • Work efficiency by collaborated with planning and execution parties
  • Report any irregular activities to Duty Manager
  • Prepare ITT job to transfer container between Kwai-Tsing Terminals
  • Observe coming 48 hrs ITT volume and arrange proper ITT trucks resource
  • Solve ITT enquiry, close communicate with neighbor terminals to ensure ITT operation effectivity
  • Handle enquiry on ITT operations from external parties and ITT truck drivers
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Degree holder in related discipline with 1 year relevant experience; or
  • Diploma holder with 4 years relevant experience, or
  • Form 5 or above with 6 years relevant experience
  • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application (Word and Excel)
  • Able to handle daily documents and emails in English
  • Initiative, responsible and willing to learn
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in written and spoken English & Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Self-motivated, good team player and able to work under pressure
  • Willing to perform jobs on shift basis
