Technician I (Chinese Version only)

The Role

Engineer I (Civil & Structure)

The Role

Reporting to Senior Engineer, the job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Lead working teams / task groups to carry out planning, designing and executing of projects and maintenance works in Hong Kong including berth / marine works / yard improvement works, new berths and new buildings including yard and warehouse buildings
  • Initiate, manage and liaise with Hong Kong Government Authorities for terminal facilities and building improvement 
  • Perform tendering administration and contract management
  • Appraise / check design methods, procedures and standards
  • Perform safety, environmental & quality management of construction site
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 years relevant working experience
  • Solid knowledge and experience in planning, designing and contract administration of civil / facilities / building development projects
  • Knowledge in project management and experience related to container terminal development or building development preferred
  • Proactive in organizational development to cope with the anticipated dynamic changes in future
  • Service oriented and able to work under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua
  • Conversant with PC applications
  • Preferably with valid driving license
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Engineer II

Supervisor (Facilities Maintenance)

The Role
  • Lead a technical team to carry out day to day operation of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Supervise and execute all maintenance and repair works for HVAC systems, plants and facilities, and to ensure all planned duties are performed in good order and safety manner
  • Arrange routine maintenance and inspection work for subordinates and contractors
  • Give instructions of work procedures for all breakdown repairs, planned maintenance and installation works
  • Liaise and supervise subordinates and contractors to carry out the assigned works, and ensure the work completed on time, in good quality and correct use of proper tools and methods
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance and repair work records
  • Handle emergency call and all related repair work
  • Enforce safety measures and safety supervision at site
The Person
  • Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering or related discipline with 7 years relevant experience
  • Experience in coordination and supervision of repair and maintenance of HVAC system
  • Working experience in hands on repair, maintenance and installation of central air conditioning system, air conditioner, fan coil unit, air handling unit, etc. would be an advantage
  • Grade A or AC or above in Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker
  • Valid vehicle driving license is preferable
  • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Good supervisory, problem solving, decision making, communication and interpersonal skills

Assistant Business Process Analyst

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Assist in data capturing from system and perform analysis in supporting team operations
  • Assist business analysis and stakeholders in developing business process flow
  • Handle enquiries and collect user requirements from different units, and follow-up the analysis within team
  • Support manager and superior in daily administration and team operations
  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Degree holder in related discipline with 1 year relevant experience; or
    Diploma holder with 4 years relevant experience, or
    Form 5 or above with 6 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of using BI tools, e.g. Power BI, SQL, is an advantage
  • Attend to details and able to work independently on multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

Equipment Operator (Chinese Version only)

The Role

Security Supervisor

The Role
  • Monitor and control day to day security operations delivering by contracted teams
  • Monitor security contractor performance by selecting and training on-site team member
  • Respond and investigate security incidents and emergencies
  • Assist in ensuring strict compliance of terminal safety rules
  • Conduct initial investigation and coordination with Risk Management and other technical units regarding safety incidents in order to avoid reoccurrence
  • Ensure proper execution of terminal’s Port Facility Security Plan
  • Assist in security training, awareness and education programs
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal (functions and departments etc.) and external interested parties (authorities and customers etc.)
The Person
  • Diploma in security management or related discipline
  • At least 6 years experience in security practices and operations with 2 years in a supervisory level
  • Familiar with container terminal operations
  • Good knowledge of ISPS Code is an advantage
  • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application (Word and Excel)
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willing to perform shift duty
  • Valid driving license (Classification codes: 1 & 2) with good driving record

Health & Safety Officer

The Role
  • Monitor the implementation of the company’s health and safety management system and ensure the compliance
  • Review and update the health and safety procedures and documents
  • Co-ordinate and work with departments and contractors to drive and improve the safety performance
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, trainings and analysis 
  • Act as the secretary of Departmental Health and Safety Committee and provide support/advices to the departments
  • Prepare reports and perform accident analysis and technical studies
  • Organize health and safety promotion programs and activities
  • Handle emergency situations and provide support
  • Handle projects and deal with departments, contractors and authorities
The Person
  • Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Hygiene or related engineering disciplines
  • Registered Safety Officer
  • At least 1 year post registered (RSO) relevant working experience
  • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with good analytical skill
  • With valid vehicle driving license

Manager, Procurement (Equipment Maintenance & Operation Services)

The Role

Reporting to Procurement Manager, the job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Lead a work team to meet the procurement needs of business end users
  • Formulate and implement procurement strategy under the established procurement governance, policy, procedures, process and guideline
  • Procure all goods and services for the assigned spending categories
  • Perform analysis to pursue quality improvement, cost saving and green procurement opportunities
  • Structure regular review and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Degree holder in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline
  • Member of a recognized procurement or supply chain professional body is an advantage
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in procurement with at least 3 years in supervisory capacity
  • Solid knowledge and experience in tendering, contract management and negotiation
  • Experience in vendor management with key suppliers and contractors

Gatehouse Assistant

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Assist in gate operations including container weighing and inspection
  • Monitor gate movement
  • Handle shipping/car carrier documents and container appointment
  • Handle dutiable / detained / damaged / rejected container
  • Provide counter service for trucker
  • Process data in a timely, accurate manner
  • Handle hotline enquiry
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Diploma holder, or Form 5 or above with 2 years clerical experience
  • Knowledge and experience in handling shipping document and terminal operations is an advantage
  • Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application

Vessel Dispatcher

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Work closely with other operational functions in controlling both shipside and landside operations and performance of tractors and equipment
  • Execute and optimize barge scheduling plan from barge centre
  • Assist Duty Superintendent/Duty Manager in assigning jobs to the team and allocating optimum resources within yard
  • Arrange empty container collection and delivery
  • Arrange container movement for CFS and container repairing services
  • Arrange to facilitate container attributes validation, container inspection, reefer box inspection and cargo repacking
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Diploma holder with 1-year relevant experience, or
  • Form 5 or above with 3 years relevant experience
  • Conversant with PC application and TOS system
  • Knowledge in operational flow of container terminal
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
  • Good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good team player, initiative and customer oriented

Ship Planner

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Work closely with shipping lines and internal parties to plan for vessel operations
  • Handle all documents and enquiries related stowage & cargo planning
  • Ensure vessel departure with seaworthy and safe conditions by precise vessel stowage plans
  • Liaise with Chief officer / Master of Vessel upon ship arrival and departure in respect with vessel operations
  • Solve stowage-related problems and provide professional solutions
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Degree holder in related discipline with 1 year relevant experience; or
  • Diploma holder with 4 years relevant experience, or

    Form 5 or above with 6 years relevant experience

  • Experience in ship planning and terminal operations is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS application and preferably with experience in using SAP & NAVIS system for ship-planning function
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Good planning and organizing, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills

Data Processing Assistant

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Handle relative Vessel Inbound and Transshipment container declarations
  • Co-ordinate with internal and external parties on data requirements or clarification
  • Solve problem regarding declarations issues as arisen in operations
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Diploma holder, or Form 5 or above with 2 years clerical experience
  • Experience gained in terminal operations or shipping industry is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good interpersonal skills and sense of responsibility
  • Willing to perform jobs on shift basis

Yard Planning Officer

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

  • Feasibility study for the N4 and peripheral system enhancement
  • Improve operation performance and reduce the wastage on resources
  • Negotiation with internal units & external parties to improve operation workflow
  • Prepare yard stacking analysis statistic, yard inventory and ITT reports across HKSPA
  • Prepare training materials for front line users and truck contractors 
  • Participate internal, cross team and external workgroup meetings
  • Proactively monitor yard for integrity, where integrity being compromised identify reason and report to manager
  • Study yard allocations and weight classes for each service to be discussed with vessel planners so that units will be loaded without yard shuffles
  • Maintain empty container stacks in line with customers’ contracts. When high levels reached inform manager
  • Continuously improve knowledge of the Navis tool and create templates for the team that will assist in maintaining the real time monitoring of the yard.
  • Forecast, monitor and control the inventory stacking level to meet the stacking demand
The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

  • Degree holder in related discipline with 2 years relevant experience; or
  • Diploma holder with 4 years relevant experience, or

  • Form 5 or above with 6 years relevant experience

  • Proficient in MS application and with experience in using SAP & NAVIS system
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Good problem solving and decision making, planning and organizing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to perform jobs on shift basis

Assistant Workplace Services Officer

The Role
  • Handle a wide range of office administrative responsibilities such as office cleaning, landscaping & gardening maintenance, telecommunication services provision & monitoring, canteen services and Business Continuity Plan coordination
  • Closely cooperate with contractors to maintain standard service level and to ensure promptly response to the frequent changing policies and ad hoc cases to maintain the service continuity
  • Coordinate regular meetings with contractors and committees for contractors’ service performance review and to improve workflow process when necessary
  • Perform a full spectrum of administrative functions for canteen services, including promotions, announcements, handling complaints/suggestions received from users, repair & maintenance coordination & etc.
  • Handle all matters related to office cleaning including inspections, regular audit for cleaners’ performance and attendance & etc. for precautionary alert and associated action
  • Responsible for landscaping & gardening maintenance including managing indoor and outdoor plants, arranging seasonal flower decorations, and coordinating annual tree health inspections and improvement follow-up
  • Monitor telecommunications services, administer company corporate accounts, arrange payment, handle internal requests and maintain proper user records and reports
  • Prepare contract strategy for CAPEX and Non-CAPEX items
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as assigned
The Person
  • Diploma holder or above in relevant discipline with minimum 3 years relevant working experience
  • Solid experience of office administration in the sizable organization / hospitality industry is preferable
  • Conversant with PC and MS Office applications
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Initiative and customer oriented
